5/18/22 - This is a very rarely encountered Stevens Savage Model 620 trench shotgun, made as a part of US military procurement during WWII. Unlike its M520 counterpart, this was a hammerless model, very much like Winchester M12. The military configuration is actually the Model 620A, so this rifle should be labeled as such but their receivers were marked 620 only for whatever reason. They were produced in trench, riot and training versions with only ~12,000 total produced. So presumably only a few thousand of these riot 620A's were made. This one is all original and in excellent condition. Excellent wood furniture aside from initials that were very lightly scratched on the right side of the buttstock. The bluing shows only a few minor surface scratches on the receiver, and the barrel has excellent bluing. Receiver is marked U.S. with flaming bomb proof. Strong bore with just a little frost. Smooth mechanics.
