1/23/23 - This is a very rare and original Smith & Wesson Model 1899 revolver from the early 1900's. One of only ~1,000 ordered by the U.S. Army, it has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder and barrel. The grip is also matching hand-numbered to the gun. The bluing on this one rates at maybe 80-90% but is difficult to gauge as there isn't much finish loss overall but notable patina in several areas. Beautiful case hardening on the hammer and trigger. Minty bore and good mechanics. The frame is inspector marked (KSM), as is the barrel and right grip panel. Left grip panel is marked 'J.T.T. 1901'.
