10/4/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare Mauser Model 1914 with an interesting history. It was initially issued to the Imperial German Army during WW1, as evidenced by the Imperial proof on the top of the slide. It was then diverted to the Prussian military for sale to officers as evidenced by the Prussian Eagle on the trigger guard. It is matching and has retained about 96% of its original finish. There is very minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Minor scratchy wear and pin-pricking on the front strap. Comes with a nice wood grip (minor bruising throughout) and a period-correct magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with good rifling.
