9/6/12 - This is a rare, all matching, early pre-war98k 22 LR conversion kit manufactured by Erma. These conversion kits allow a standard 98k rifle to be rapidly reconfigured to a magazine fed 22 caliber rifle for inexpensive training. The kit consists of a barrel liner/receiver insert assembly, bolt, two magazines, a floorplate to accommodate the magazines, a cleaning rod boreguard and a wrench pin. The wood box has a WaA132 waffenamt. Note: This unit will not work on 1924/47 Yugoslavian Mauser rifles (receivers are 1/4" shorter in length than a 98k). The top is marked "FABRIKAT/Erma logo/ERFURT", with eagle Waffennamt proofs on the left side. Matching bolt and floor eagle Waffennamt proofs on left side. Two magazines both waffen marked. All matching numbered including the wooden carrying case. All original. Case and parts are in excellent condition. Great addition for any K98 collector. An identical one just sold on Rock Island for $4,300!!!
