3/11/20 - This is a super rare and early Nazi FN Browning High Power with tangent sight and slotted frame, and is documented in Anthony Vanderlinden's book on FN Browning Pistols (page 325). It is hard to estimate exact production totals for this variation as they were completed from a mixture of available parts without serial number continuity, but the total ranges span only about 3,000 digits. This example falls into the 'sub-variant 1' category with pre-invasion Liege proofs on the slide and frame. A single WaA613 proof will be found on the trigger guard, and partial Belgian military acceptance markings. It has all matching serials with Liege proofs on the prewar barrel. The slot in frame is factory original and the grips have the prewar red paint on the back. The finish is original with most of the wear and patina on the straps. Bore has strong rifling with minor signs of use. Grips are in great shape aside from a small ding in the left panel. Note that we will include a copy of Vanderlinden's book with this purchase.
