5/18/21 - This is a rare early Erfurt Luger with an interesting past. From the Imperial proofs, we know it was issued to the Imperial German military in 1911. It has commercial "Crown N" proofs, so it was likely then sold in the commercial market. There are, however, Luftwaffe proofs on the barrel and right side of the slide, meaning it was then issued to the Luftwaffe during WW2. The gun is matching except for a small part in the toggle. The gun has retained about 65% of its finish. There is general thinning, spotty wear, and tiny dots of oxidation throughout. Comes with nice original matching grips (minor bruising here and there) and a mismatched WW2-era magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
