11/15/22 - This is a very cool British No.4 Mk I (T) sniper rifle rig. These rifles were the standard British sniper rifles developed in the late 1930s and used until the early 1960s. The receiver side wall is marked "No. 4 Mk I T", and the butt socket is marked "M47C/1944/E34326/TR". The rifle is matching numbers throughout, with a scope serial on the wrist, though it doesn't match the scope in this listing. The scope mount and can that are included here do not match the serial of the rifle, and are mismatched from each other. This original No. 32 MKIII scope is marked by maker and screw-on cheekpiece. The scope tin is especially rare and seldom seen, as most feature the canvas case. Complete with an original WWII issue Chest S.A. No.15.Mk.1, green wooden storage/shipping container. Original carry straps are present but one is torn. Excellent bore that does need a cleaning.
