9/15/20 - This is a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in July of 1944. This particular gun is very interesting because it has a 4th "Eagle 88" Nazi military inspection proof, making it a "Mulligan Gun". For some unknown reason, it must have failed its inspection (after the third proof), was repaired at the factory, was re-inspected, passed, and was proof-marked a 4th time. It is all matching. The gun is fully functional, including the de-cocker, and has retained about 92-93% of its original bluing. There is minor muzzle wear, wear on the front edges of the slide, an area of wear and a separate area of scratching on the right side of the slide, wear at the peak of the underside of the trigger, wear that the very backs of both sides of the slide, very minor thinning on the front strap, and a few scratches on the barrel. There is also some very light freckling on the front strap. The bore is shiny with strong rifling. It comes with a period-correct magazine. It is numbered on the bottom, but it does not match the gun. Excellent grips.
