9/10/20 - This is an original Sauer 38h rig issued to the Nazi military during WW2. There is an appropriate "Eagle 37" Nazi military acceptance proof on the left side of the trigger guard. The gun comes with a nice, un-marked, period-correct, brown, leather holster. The nature of the military-blued finish makes it difficult rate. This type of finish can appear to be thin but, in fact, there isn't much actual finish. Our best estimate is that it has retained somewhere between 75-80% of its original bluing. The most apparent signs of wear are significant thinning and spotty brown patina on both straps. Generally, there is minor muzzle and high edge wear on the slide. There are areas of spotty wear and spotty brown patina on the slide as well. There is one area of wear on the underside of the trigger guard. The gun functions properly and comes with one period-correct magazine. The bore is minty. The holster is soft and workable, but there are surface scuffs and a few stains.
