12/4/20 - This is an excellent example of a K98 bolt action rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. The makers code on the chamber is "dou" which represents the Waffenwerke Bruenn factory. Dated 1944. The gun is all matching except for the rear barrel band. It comes with a front sight hood, cleaning rod, and original leather sling. The metal parts have waffen proofs throughout. Faint waffen proof on the butt stock. The metal parts have retained almost of their original bluing - just a few handling marks/light scratches on the barrel. The stock is excellent but appears to have been lightly sanded. Minty bore - shiny with strong rifling.
