3/9/21 - This is a 'bcd' code G43 sniper rifle that was manufactured by Gustloff-Werke. This is the rarest code for these guns. These rifles were the first true production G43 rifles. It is estimated that approximately only 40,000 of this type were produced and likely assembled at the Buchenwald concentration camp under the SS. The left side of the receiver is marked "bcd" with a broken "c" and an asterisk/sunburst proof mark above it. This is common for these guns. These guns are very hard to find in this condition as they were made in the Buchenwald concentration camp and many of them are in very poor condition. It is commonly believed that they do not make the best shooters, because the concentration camp workers would intentionally sabotage them during assembly. This one is all matching and has waffen proofs throughout. The markings on the stock are a little faint, because it was likely sanded. The handguard has a slightly different shape than we're used to. It may have been replaced, but it does match the rest of the gun. The gun comes with a period-correct ZF4 scope (excellent optics) and a reproduction scope mount. It also comes with a period correct magazine and leather sling. The bore is very nice with strong rifling. The bolt has a little trouble staying back and could probably benefit from a good cleaning. Comes with reproduction wood scope case, front sight hood, and eye covers.
