SOLD - Rare Party Leader Walther PPK - Original Box

6/5/19 - This is an excellent and rare Party Leader Walther PPK in its original, matching box! It is all original and correct, and we can provide COA free of charge with this order.  The pistol has about 98% high-polish blue remaining, with a spot of wear on the front strap and another on the trigger guard. The grip is in beautiful condition with no active cracks or chips but a minor area of wear on the left side, near the escutcheon.  Serial dates the pistol to 1939-40. Excellent finger extension magazine. Minty bore. The pistol comes complete, "as-issued", with cleaning rod, manual, original matching box, spare magazine and oiler tin.  As it's estimated only about 3,500 such Party Leader PPKs exist, only a tiny fraction are found in their original, matching box.

The Walther PPK with Party Leader Grips was the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders". The Hoheitsabzeichen or High Insignia is the Eagle over Swastika found on either side of the grips where the Walther banner is normally located. The person entitled to wear the honor weapons that were awarded them by the Fuhrer were the Political Leaders of the national, regional and district territories, as well as leaders of local and support units. The persons who wore the honor weapon had their authorizations listed in the district personnel offices, and had to have in their possession a weapons permit issued by the police, which was obtained through official channels. These rare pistols were estimated to number around 3,500, and are widely faked, but this one is guaranteed original.
