7/8/19 - This is one of the finest M1 Carbines from the World War II era that you'll ever see. Made in January of 1944, this is an Underwood produced rifle in all original configuration. The finish on metal parts shows only a hint of handling wear and the stock is gorgeous aside from a couple small dings or nicks. No signs of sanding or alteration. Low wood with two-hole handguard. Sharp ordnance marks and stock cartouches. Small hole in stock under sling. Original WW2 era cotton sling. No bayo lug or any signs of one being present at any time. Original flip sight with no signs of staking. Front sight is 'U' marked. Handguard is marked 'MU' internally. Barrel is 1-44 dated. 'U' marked magazine. Minty bore.
