7/13/18 - Here is an excellent example of a K98 Dress Bayonet manufactured by F.W. Höller as evidenced by the maker mark on the hilt of the blade. “F.W. Höller, Solingen”, and in the center is the Thermometer trademark. Beautiful, distinct etching on one side of the blade translates to "For my time in service". The words are flanked with oak leaf sprigs and two Wehrmacht winged eagles holding swastikas. The detail is distinct and outstanding. The plating is nearly mint on the blade. Some minor speckling on the cross guard and pummel. The grips are black Bakelite with good checkering. The leather blade stop is intact as well as the red felt lining in the rifle slot. The scabbard and frog are in great shape. Minimal paint loss on the scabbard with no dents or cracks. Guaranteed original.
