7/23/19 - This is an interesting, Nazi-issued P.38 from the end of the war. The frame is Walther made, while the slide and barrel are Mauser. But what makes this gun interesting is that the slide and barrel have no serial, and the slide did not receive the final inspection proof. Thus, the gun was likely put together from unissued parts at the end of the war, and this would help explain why the finish is in excellent condition and the bore is near-mint. Excellent brown grips, and the magazine has the Walther waffenamt, as well as 'jvd' and 'WaA706' proofs on spine. The de-cocker doesn't work on this gun, though it does function as a safety. Mechanics are good otherwise. Pistol comes with a period original holster, which is 1944 dated on the back and GI embellished on the front flap.
