12/1/20 - This is a nice example of Mauser Model 1914 that was issued to the German Imperial Army during WW1. It has is all matching and has "Crown U" and Imperial German proofs. It has retained the majority of its bluing, about 85%. While there is not much actual finish loss, there are areas of spotty oxidation and pitting. The oxidation is most noticeable on the front strap and right side of the gun. There is pitting on the barrel and front end of the slide. It comes with a nice period-correct wood grip. The checkering is worn off. It also comes with a period-correct magazine. The bore is very nice - strong rifling.
