11/23/22 - This is an extremely rare Mauser HSc from 1940. This variation with low grip screw saw only ~700 commercially manufactured, all in 1940 with high-polish finish. This variation represents the earliest HSc's manufactured, as the revision to the grip placement on the frame had already been done before production began. This likely means these pistols were already in inventory at the factory and the replacement forgings would have been ordered before the HSc came off the assembly line. This one has about 97% blue remaining with most of the wear in a single area on the right side of the slide. There is also minor freckling in a small area on both straps. Minty magazine and bore. Grips have a few dings but no cracks or chips.
