4/5/21 - This is a nice example of a rare DWM American Eagle Luger marked "A.F. Stoeger". These Luger pistols were manufactured in Germany during the 1930s by Mauser, after recently taking over production of Luger pistols from DWM, for Stoeger Arms Corporation to be sold in the U.S. Several different barrel lengths were offered in either 9mm or 7.65mm, and the quantity acquired by Stoeger was rather low, making this Luger a scarce variation. This particular gun is all matching and has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original bluing. Spotty wear and oxidation on the straps. Minor wear on the side plate, muzzle, and front edges of the frame. A spot of oxidation on the right side of the frame. There are a few dings on the right side of the frame and some scratches on the takedown lever. The grips are very nice except for a chip in the left grip. Comes with an un-marked wood bottom magazine. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling and very minor pin-pricking in the grooves. Also comes with a COA from Legacy.
