9/27/21 - This is a nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. It comes with a period-correct numbered magazine that is not matching but is close. The gun has retained about 85% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, where there is also spotty oxidation. There are areas of minor wear on the high edges, around the muzzle, and on the top plate. Very minor thinning on the barrel. Noticeable freckling on the whole right side of the slide. An area of oxidation on the top of the barrel through the ejection port. Comes with brown bakelite grips that have been cut at the top and have some scratches on the left side. The rifling in the bore is a little worn, and there is minor pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is not functional.
