9/17/21 - This is a very nice example of a rare Mauser Model 1914 sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown U" proofs. This one is unique because it has an "AF Stoeger Inc New-York" private retailer marking, indicating this gun was sent from Germany to AF Stoeger for resale in the US commercial market. It has retained about 93% of its finish. There is spotty wear on the front strap, hints of wear on the high edges of the slide, and minor wear around the muzzle. An area of discoloration on the top of the slide. There are areas of spotty oxidation on the front strap, on the left side of the slide, and around the muzzle. Comes with nice wood grip and a period-correct magazine. The bore is mint.
