10/31/17 - The G Date (1935) Luger holster is the least common of all P.08 holsters from WW2. Most speculate this was due to the "secret production" of arms by Germany, and an abundance of 1934 K Date holsters. Regardless, the hardest year to find for Luger holsters is 1935. This holster is 1935 dated on the back leather with a droop eagle waffen proof and a faint maker stamp. The holster has firm leather in great condition overall. The only real issue with this holster is an extra line of stitching/adjustment made on the back left strap. The back right strap appears to have one or two stitches of replacement thread. Otherwise there are no major flaws. The exterior leather shows light signs of polish as you can almost see "stroke" marks or rub marks on the leather. This could be the original polish coming off, or signs of an attempt at restoration. Regardless, the leather is all original and in tact. There is very light surface wear on the top leather - as shown in photos. The stitching besides the small issues on the belt loops is all original and authentic. Very scarce holster and nearly impossible to find in this condition! Guaranteed original.
