10/12/21 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket revolver manufactured in 1863. It appears to be factory engraved and features a gorgeous, ornate floral pattern. We applied for a Colt letter the verify the engraving, but Colt did not have record of the serial number in their archive. So neither we nor Colt can verify the engraving as factory. The gun is all matching. The metal is intact but covered in dark brown patina and areas of very minor pitting throughout. The gun comes with a set of beautiful real ivory grips. There are some initials carved into the bottom. The bore has oxidation throughout.
