5/1/18 - This is a very nice example of an early Nazi Navy Mauser from the late 1930's. The original high polish finish covers about 95% of the gun with the most significant wear found on the front grip strap. The gun has all matching parts and mechanically sound. The bore is near mint with no flaws. It comes with an excellent correct wood grip and correct magazine. The O. property mark on the front strap indicates the Ostsee Navy base in German. This is a rare variation as it is estimated that only about 800 of these were issued, with most ending up at the bottom of the Atlantic. Comes with a correct wartime magazine.
