10/14/20 - This is an excellent Saginaw Gear M1 Carbine from late 1943. Only about 8.5% of M1 Carbine production was done at the Saginaw plant, which is a division of GM. This gun is almost completely correct and original, but the MRM proof on the stock could indicate it went to Mount Rainier. Otherwise, Saginaw parts throughout including receiver, barrel, trigger housing, stock, slide, bolt. Minty finish on the metal throughout. Stock is minty too. Bore has strong rifling but there is some freckling throughout in the grooves.
