11/3/20 - This is a military-issued Egyptian Helwan, chambered in 9mm. This is not one of the imports made for commercial sales, this is full military with Arabic writing and serial numbers. The magazine also bears a factory proof mark. The slide has Arabic writing on the right side, and the left side says "Helwan Cal. 9mm ARE". It does not say "Made in Egypt" like the commercial imports. No import marks. These were likely the first batch of Helwans produced by Egypt on Beretta's machinery. Prior to these, Egypt had their own contract with Beretta for the M1951's until the late 50's when they started producing these. It's an early serial number, likely made in the late 1950s. This particular example is in excellent condition, retaining about 93-94% of its original finish. There is one small area of wear on the left side of the slide, wear on the underside of the barrel, a few very light scratches on the right side of the slide, and some minor pin-pricking here and there. The bore is bright. The plastic grips are in good condition, with light scratches and scuffs you would expect from military use. The gun is fully functional. It comes with two factory magazines. Also includes what appears to be a Tokarev holster.
