11/30/15 - Consignment - First, we have to admit that we know next to nothing about the early Gas Trap Garand. But we do know that these are considered the "holy grail" for Garand collectors. Originals sell in the 15k to 30k range. We have also seen them sell for much more than 30k. This one has all of the proper features but is a restored rifle. We are told the restoration was done by Gene Barnett of Match Service Works. Others who have examined the rifle and declared it to be an excellent restoration. It features the early gas trap cylinder, and early configured parts. The stock is not marked and in excellent condition. Finish is like new. The serial (# 9091) makes it a 1938 production rifle. Parkarized finish with excellent bore. Hands on inspection is certainly encouraged for the serious buyer on this one.
