10/10/17 - This is a beautifully engraved Walther PPK from 1940. It has three Eagle/N proofs in the correct spots - barrel, frame and slide. The gun is unfinished (in the white) with a "gold wash" covering the gun to highlight the engraving. The style is a Germanic Oak Leaf engraving coving the entirety of the gun, and the bottom of the magazine is also engraved. There is a lot of controversy about how to tell if the engraving is factory or not, since all of the factory records were destroyed in the war. We go by serial number as the factory guns tend to cluster together as they were pulled from production in sequential groups for engraving or inscriptions. This gun does NOT fall in the range with other factory engraved guns so we are selling it as a "custom embellished" pistol. But it has beautiful workmanship and would make a nice addition to your Walther collection!
