06/10/2024 - For sale is a Gewehr 98M made by Amberg Arsenal in 1918. The G98M was a variant of the G98 that was upgraded to a tangent rear sight and allowed to be issued during the Weimar Era. This example is in an overall 90% with old bluing visible on the metal, but there are also fine prickling from corrosion on the receiver and barrel. The bore is nice and fairly bright with good rifling but does get darker towards the muzzle. The stock is clean and in good condition but it has been duffle cut under the rear barrel band. The rifle is mismatched throughout. The rifle comes with a leather sling and muzzle cover.
