08/30/21 - This device was utilized for training German military members Morse code. The box houses a motorized device that reads the included paper tapes and produces Morse code practice sets. The device and tapes were manufactured in 1942 and all have a symbol resembling a "jK" within a triangle. We believe that refers to the maker Julius Kracker. 8 tapes are included, one loaded into the machine already and 7 others still in original cases. The device's wooden housing shows signs of age and some mild damage, and the tape cases are not all fully intact. The tape case are labelled in German with the following translated categories; "mixed groups", "letter groups", "mixed text", "number groups", "plain text", "plain text English", and "plain text French".
