1/9/25 - This is a nice Waffenwerke Brunn K98 rifle issued to the German army in 1944. The gun is mismatched and the German waffen proofs have been defaced. Import mark on the barrel. The metal parts have retained roughly half of their finish with obvious wear throughout. Overall, the wood shows no major damage, but there are obvious signs of wear and use throughout. The right side of the butt stock is numbered and matching, but it appears to be post-factory numbered. Proper "Eagle H" proof. There are a couple of "F"s scratched into the right side of the stock. The upper handguard fits a little loosely. The rifling in the bore is a bit worn with pitting in the grooves.
