1/10/25 - This is a nice example of a Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Rifle from 1890. It is all correct with all of the proper markings and proofs. There is a military cartouche on the left side of the wood stock dated 1890. The metal parts actually do not show a ton of finish loss, but there is brown patina covering most of the surface area. Some tiny dings along the top of the barrel. Some scratches and marks on the trigger guard. The wood stock shows a surface crack along the left side of the receiver, and another on the rigth side closer to the rear sight. Excellent bore with great rifling.
