8/1/24 - This is the rarest of all the Army-issued Mauser HSc's. In 1941, Mauser ceased production of the model 1934 in favor of the HSc, and some of the first several thousand procured bear the same proofs as the model 1934 - Eagle/655 on trigger guard and the Army test proof on the grip tang. There were only 3,000 of this variation produced, with said markings and high-polish blue finish. This one is all matching and comes as a rig with two proper Mauser banner magazines and a rare "Waffen 100" proofed black leather holster (the holster is fairly worn, and the leather is a bit brittle and cracked). Fitted with period-correct wood grips. The gun has retained about 93-94% of its original finish with minor muzzle wear, an area of wear on the right side of the slide, and a streak of wear on the front strap. There is also some freckling on both sides of the slide. Mint bore.
