1/9/25 - This is an Arisaka Type 99 issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The Imperial mum stamp on the receiver is still partially visible but has been defaced. It is matching except for the cocking knob. The number is hard to read, but it appears to be mismatched. There is very little actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there is noticeable brown patina covering all of the parts and a few small spots of light surface rust. The wood is generally very nice overall but has been lightly sanded. There is a small chip in the right front. The cleaning rod catch and screw from the front barrel band is missing. Mint bore. Comes with a canvas sling.
