6/6/23 - This is a near-mint example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1944. It is "United States Property" marked, has the correct "FJA" inspector initials, and has a cross-canon military cartouche. Proper High Standard barrel. Comes as a rig with a very nice 1944-dated holster and a period-correct "R" marked magazine. The gun has retained nearly all of its original finish with just hints of thinning on the grip straps and a couple of tiny scratches around the takedown lever. Some very minor discoloration on the left side of the slide. Fitted with excellent period-correct reddish plastic grips. Excellent, shiny bore with strong rifling.
