6/5/23 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1917 revolver issued to the US military in 1918. It is matching, "United States Property" marked, and has the proper "Eagle Head S15" military proof. It has retained about 92-93% of its original bluing. The majority of the wear is around the muzzle, but there is also some light spotty wear on the top strap, and some minor thinning and brown patina on the grip straps. Very minor wear on the high edges of the cylinder with a light roll mark. Fitted with nice wood grips - both hand-numbered on the inside. The left grip is matching, the right is close but not matching. Tiny chips in the wood on the front corners. The bore has strong rifling, but there is tiny pin-pricking throughout.
