6/6/23 - This is a rare Brazilian-contract DWM Luger. DWM produced only approximately 5,000 of these pistols for military sales to Brazil. Most examples exhibit heavy use and wear due to the high humidity in South America. They were serial numbered approximately 1 to 5000. These pistols were all produced on the old 1906 style frame with the grip safety, polished lower safety area and no stock lug. They have a blank chamber area with the "DWM" logo on the rear toggle and the only proofmarks on the entire pistol is a small circled "B" proof on the left side of the barrel extension. This example is all matching. There is minor high edge wear and tiny handling marks throughout. Noticeable pitting along the barrel and on the safety lever. Dulling and light spotty oxidation on the grip straps. Fitted with nice replacement wood grips. Comes with a numbered and mismatched magazine - crack in the wood bottom. The bore is in poor condition - the rifling is worn with pin-pricking throughout.
