3/17/23 - This is a military-issued Egyptian Helwan, chambered in 9mm. This is not one of the imports made for commercial sales, this is full military with Arabic writing and serial numbers. The slide has Arabic writing on the right side, and the left side says "Helwan Cal. 9mm ARE". It does not say "Made in Egypt" like the commercial imports. No import marks. These were likely the first batch of Helwans produced by Egypt on Beretta's machinery. Prior to these, Egypt had their own contract with Beretta for the M1951's until the late 50's when they started producing these. This particular example has retained about 94% of its original finish. There is minor high edge wear in general, light scratches and handling marks throughout, and an area of finish loss on the left side of the frame. Comes with black plastic grips - noticeable scuffing and scratching on both sides. Also comes with two proper magazines. Excellent bore with strong rifling. The mag release button is very stiff.
