1/24/23 - This is an original Model 1900 Model DWM American Eagle Luger rig with rare and original Ideal grips for the Ideal stock / holster combo. This one does not come with the holster and stock, just the grips. The Ideal Holster Company applied for the patent on their grip and stock/holster in 1901, and the design uses a set of special grip panels with metal locking surfaces in them in conjunction with some very clever angular geometry to allow the stock to be easily attached and detached when in the short position, but lock tight and secure when the stock is extended to shooting length. These particular grips are in good condition, but there is hairline crack at the bottom of the left grip and some light chipping along some of the edges of the right panel. They are not numbered. The gun itself has retained roughly 85% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there are areas of light, somewhat spotty wear throughout. Most noticeable on the barrel, side plate, and side rails. Some minor pin-pricking on the left side of the gun. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
