1/19/23 - This is a very hard to find Walther P.38, with '40' added under the ac proof on left side slide. There were only 5,700 of this variation produced, made in November of 1940 with the '40' added after the gun was blued. This pistol is in the proper range for this variation, is all matching, and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. The gun has lost nearly all of its original high polish finish with obvious wear, spotty light brown patina, and areas of pin-pricking throughout. The only remaining finish is along the barrel. Fitted with excellent waffen-proofed grips and comes with a "p.38v" magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is not functional.
