2/1/23 - This is an excellent example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is "United States Property" marked, "FJA" proofed, and has the proper cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame. Correct High Standard barrel. We believe the slide may have been refinished. In any case, the gun has retained about 96% of its parkerized finish. There is just very minor wear around the high edges and some minor thinning on the grip straps. Fitted with excellent reddish plastic grips and comes with a period-correct "L" marked magazine. The bore has great rifling, but there is minor oxidation in the grooves.
