9/8/23 - This is a very nice example of a Chinese SKS Type 56 manufactured at Arsenal 26 in early 1957. It is all matching, except for the stock which is un-numbered. Import mark on the right side of the barrel. The stock is an Albanian replacement, as evidenced by the two holes in the butt plate. The metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their original finish. The majority of the finish loss comes in the form of light scratchy wear on the top of the receiver, but there is also wear on the magazine (concentrated around the high edges), and some muzzle wear. The wood stock is excellent with just a few small dings. The upper handguard has obvious bruising throughout, and its color does not match the rest of the wood. Mint bore.
