6/2/23 - This is a very nice example of a Spanish Mauser M44, chambered in 8mm Mauser. From the crest on the receiver, this gun was issued to the Spanish Air Force. It is all matching and has no import marks. The metal parts have retained about 92% of their finish with general high edge wear and some thinning on the rear barrel band. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is brown patina under the finish on most of the gun. Noticeable dings and spotty brown patina on the butt plate. There are also a few small dings on the floor plate and an area of minor pitting on the trigger guard. There is minor bruising and scratching on the wood furniture and a couple of noticeable gouges on the left side near the rear barrel band. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting in the grooves.
