12/1/22 - This is a beautiful example of a rare DWM "American Eagle" Luger sold in the US commercial market in the 1920's. What makes this one especially desirable is that it is "AF Stoeger" retailer marked and has a scarce 5.5" Navy-style special-ordered barrel. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with a Navy-style wood stock and holster, shoulder strap, magazine pouch, cleaning rod, and three Swiss-style magazines. The magazine pouch appears to be original, the rest appears to be reproduction. We believe the magazine tubes are original, but the bases were replaced. The gun is in gorgeous condition, retaining essentially all of its bluing with just hints of wear on some of the high edges. Mint wood grips. Excellent bore - shiny with strong rifling. Note: the magazines were photographed with two old cartridges. They were thrown away and are not included with the gun.
