11/23/22 - This is an excellent example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military during WW2. The receiver is early and dates to about September of 1940. The barrel is a replacement, Springfield marked and dated April of 1955. The stock is a replacement and has no markings. Overall, the gun is in excellent condition with virtually no actual finish loss. There are just a few light scratches along the barrel, some light spotty oxidation on the receiver, and some discoloration on the trigger group. The stock is in near-mint condition. The front handguard wiggles a little bit. Throat reading: 0. Muzzle reading: 1.
