11/23/22 - This is a minty example of a Remington Model 03-A3 rifle issued to the US military in 1943. The receiver dates to about June of 1943, and the barrel is dated May of 1943 and is Remington-marked. It has a proper "RA" and "FJA" marked stock, but there is an "RIA" marking on the left side, indicating it was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal. In any case, the gun is in minty condition, retaining nearly all of its finish. There are just hints of wear on some of the high edges, some small areas of discoloration here and there, and some brown patina on the butt plate. The stock is in near-mint condition. Comes with a nice tan leather sling. The bore is near-mint - shiny with strong rifling.
