9/22/22 - This is a nice example of a Remington Rand Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is "United States Property" marked and has the proper "FJA" and cross-canon military proofs. It also has a proper High Standard barrel. The finish on this gun is a little difficult to rate, but we estimate it has retained somewhere between 85-90%. There appears to be very minor thinning in the finish throughout and very minor wear around the high edges. There is light spotty oxidation covering most of the gun. It comes with very nice period-correct reddish grips and a proper "R" marked magazine. The bore has great rifling with very minor frosting throughout.
