7/12/22 - This is an excellent example of a BYF 44 Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" military acceptance proofs throughout. It comes as a rig with waffen-proofed hard shell holster and a jvd magazine. There is no visible date on the holster, and the bottom stitching on the left belt loop is missing. The gun itself has retained about 95% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap. There are hints of wear around the high edges of the slide, some minor pin-pricking around the muzzle, and some tiny dots of discoloration along the barrel. There is a number lightly scratched into the underside of the trigger guard. Comes with nice period-correct black plastic grips that have been cut down at the top. The bore has good rifling, but there are tiny pits throughout. De-cocker is functional.
