6/21/22 - This is a 1956 International Harvester M1 Garand, the rarest of the M1 Garand makers. Springfield Armory barrel that dates to the 1960's. This particular gun was sent to an arsenal and was converted from .30-06 to 7.62 or .308. At the arsenal, it was also refinished. It has retained most of its finish, but there is minor pin-pricking under the bluing on the receiver and chipping in the black painted finish on the gas tube. The stock has noticeable scratching and bruising throughout. Wood repair on the underside of the butt stock up against the butt plate. On the left side of the butt stock, it looks like there is slight heat blistering or bubbling in the finish. Mint bore.
