12/30/22 - This is a minty example of a Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolver, manufactured in the late 1940's and chambered in .38 Spl. 5" barrel. The gun comes with a period-correct box (not matching to the gun). It has retained nearly all of its high polish bluing with very minor muzzle wear and an extremely light roll mark on the cylinder. While there is very little actual finish loss, there are areas of tiny freckling on both sides of the frame. Excellent case-hardening on the trigger and hammer. Comes with excellent postwar grips - a few tiny dings near the bottom edges. Mint bore. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
