12/10/20 - This is a nice example of a Krieghoff Luger rig issued to the Nazi Luftwaffe in 1936. There were a little over 2,500 of these particular guns manufactured. The gun is dated 1936, has the Krieghoff logo on the toggle, and has the proper "Eagle L2" military acceptance proofs. The rig comes with a Krieghoff holster. The gun is all matching and has retained roughly 80% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the side plate, around the muzzle, and on the barrel. There is also high edge wear on the frame and spotty wear/discoloration on both straps. There are a few light surface scratches here and there. The bore is very nice - strong rifling with just minor pin-pricking in the grooves. There is a Krieghoff marking on the back of the holster that we've never seen before. But it does have black stitching and an "Eagle L2" proof on the inside.
